The Vancouver Golf Tour (VGT) was developed in 2006 to give British Columbia’s local golf professionals and top amateurs an opportunity for a high level of competition in a PGA Tour-like environment without the heavy expenses of travel. Since then, the VGT has grown rapidly, expanding its participation from 120 players in 2007 to over 1,700 full and part-time golfers participating in VGT events. The tour schedule has also developed significantly from 12 events in 2007 to over 50 events in 2022 now including Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter Tour schedules and over 3.5 million dollars in available prize money per season.
JM Media has partnered with the VGT to promote and sell tour sponsorships, corporate sales, multi-media content, signage, and event marketing. Plus, JM sponsors a major tour event each season, the $25,000 JM Media Island Open. JM also handles the VGT’s external marketing in the form of print, television, radio, contesting, sports TV programming, promotions, and digital advertising.
